Storm International Group was founded by Michael Boettcher, an Englishman, in 1992, as an international entertainment business operator.
Storm International’s long history involves several countries where the Company set up, operated and/or managed gaming facilities, including Venezuela, Poland, Turkey, Egypt, Russia, Ukraine, Germany, Mexico, Romania, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, and Belarus. It should be noted that most of Storm International’s locations are highly efficient in terms of business operations but a lot of its facilities have become history due to the political changes n the gambling legislation in the respective countries, most notably in Russia, where Storm International’s five casinos and 25 slot halls were closed after the ban of the existing gambling business in this country in 2009, where casinos were offered to move to four remote gaming zones, clearly an impractical proposition.

Currently, the Company runs the Shangri La Casino in Minsk (Belarus) and Yerevan (Armenia), Storm Casino slot locations in Germany, Hollywood Entertainment centres in Monterrey (Mexico) and Radio City Bar and Kitchen and Balaganoff restaurants in Moscow (Russia).
The Company has developed and refined in-house IT solutions which enable it to efficiently manage various business processes, including finance, gaming management and statistics, staff management, slot management systems and data centralization. Storm International’s own development in cashless slot machine games has been recognized by professionals as one of the best in the market.
All the Group’s facilities operate within the comprehensive Responsible Gaming Programme, which includes the guidelines for social and psychological support and information of players, “blacklisting” psychologically unstable categories of people from the game and strict control over the quality of the gambling facilities.
The Company operations have received various international awards for its contribution in the socially responsible gambling business development.
Storm International will be opening its first casino in Tbilisi, Georgia in early 2012 and has plans for an on-line gaming company in Thailand as well as a new casino in Burma. There are also ongoing plans to increase Storm’s gaming presence wherever it is already operating as well as continuing to look at opportunities world-wide.
